The weather was superb for our Family Open Fun Day today and 46 children of all ages came along to enjoy the activities on offer and learn about the game.
After being greeted by Tanner in the shop, our guests were directed to five different ‘skills stations’ where they had the opportunity to try out everything from driving to short game with prizes on offer for the most points scored. Professionals Phil Sykes and James Browning were on hand to offer coaching, assisted by Junior Captain Ollie Parsons, Lily McNeela, Chloe Gaudion and Noah Davy who ably demonstrated their own skills.
The emphasis was on fun and showcasing the game and the club to a new audience and there were lots of smiling faces all afternoon and some wonderful natural talent on show. After trying out new skills, our guests were treated to some great food in the Clubhouse.
A huge thank you to everyone who came today, we loved having you at the club and look forward to seeing you here again soon.
Also huge thanks to all our volunteers who made it such a great day and our fantastic catering team.
For anyone who caught the golf bug today and wants to try group coaching there is still time to register for the next weekly programme starting on Tuesday. For more information Contact: golfschool@royalguernseygolfclub.com or telephone 01481 245070.
