Juniors dominated proceedings in the first round of the Club Championships today with five Juniors in the top 20. Jayden Tucknott topped the Nett Leader Board with a brilliant 75 nett 65, his best score to date to edge out Lewis Marley on countback. Lewis had another great day also posting his best score and had the added bonus of beating Dad Mick’s gross score for the first time.
Earlier Jamie Trebert enjoyed a welcome return to form going sub 80 for the first time this year with an excellent nett 67. He lies in 9th place. Further down in 16th was Tanner Austin who shot his third successive 76 gross, nett 68. Conor Mckenna had a tough day yesterday in the L’ancresse Captain's Day but came roaring back with a 74 nett 69 and he’s 20th.
Meanwhile Rory Mckenna and Ollie Chedhomme each shot nett 71s to remain in the hunt in both competitions.
With so many Juniors in contention and in great form, the final round next Sunday promises to be one to watch!
