LA GRANDE MARE RESCHEDULED JUNE COMPETITION - Brilliant Troop One, Two, and Joel and Thomas shoot the lights out

Week after week we’ve seen some fabulous Junior golf this season and yesterday was no different on a sunny day at La Grande Mare.

In the white tee competition James Troop had the round of his life on his home course. His stunning round of 72 gross comprised of a front 9 of 37 and he came back in a brilliant 35 shots with birdies at the 13th and 16th for 43 points - a wonderful round of golf. Older brother Daniel was runner up with 39 points and should be very proud of a stunning back nine where he made par on every hole to come back in 32, a superb effort. Noah Davy’s star continues to shine as he went under par again with 38 points.

In the red tee competition the scoring was extraordinary as yet again we saw golf of the very highest quality. Joel Hoolahan’s round was simply breathtaking, scoring 50 points and playing the round of his life. His 83 gross featured a stunning back 9 of 37 and five pars - quite simply brilliant golf.
Thomas Chamberlain was runner up with a superb 45 points. He made 8 pars including 5 on the back nine coming back in 34 - an absolutely outstanding effort. Congratulations to both players on two amazing rounds of golf.

In the Blue Tee Competition Anton Swale ran out the winner with an excellent 24 points from Lewis O’Brien who was under par yet again.

Next up we are back at L’ancresse tomorrow for The Marley Engraving and Rousse Trophies.
