All our Juniors and friends, family and volunteers enjoyed a superb Junior Prize evening celebrating another great season of Junior Golf. We were fortunate to play the vast majority of our events in what has been a challenging year thanks to the efforts of administrators and volunteers. After a great meal, MC Phil Sykes introduced Lady Captain Michaela Stacey-Goldberg and Club Captain Peter Radford who presented the prizes. He also thanked Assistant Club Manager Lindsay Boyd, golf co-ordinator Geoff Troop, the Junior committee and all the volunteers who have helped on the course on competition days. Michel Davy from our Junior section sponsor Altair announced the exciting news that they will be extending their generous sponsorship for another season. In addition to supporting the Junior section, Altair have also provided funding for the Youth Commission to introduce and teach golf to a whole new generation of youngsters under Coach James Browning. Youth Commission Chairman Ashley Paxton’s message that their mission is to give Guernsey youngsters the opportunity “to be the best they can be” is one that we are all proud to support. Congratulations to all the prize winners and all our juniors who competed this year and we look forward to an even bigger and better 2021!
