The La Grande Mare Junior team booked a place in the finals weekend of the Hampshire Greenjackets with a 71-60 win over La Moye golf club.
The team was led out by Hampshire U16 player James Troop who who was dependable as ever returning 37 points, with Ben Shield from La Moye scoring 33 points. Daniel Troop returning to golf after his first A level, managed a solid performance to score 2 more points than his La Moye opponent.
Tom Chamberlain made his Greenjackets debut and played like a veteran. He scored 34 points in blustery conditions, seven points more than his playing partner.
Max Raffray, the Junior Captain who is currently recuperating from Glandular Fever was thrilled at the achievement of the team reaching finals day.
The finals will be played at Hockley Golf Club on 25th July.
