VALENTINE TROPHY & ST DAVID’S CUP – NOAH BACK TO WINNING WAYS, JOSH NEVILLE’S DOMINANCE CONTINUES, AND ANOTHER WIN FOR LUKE ADCOCK

Royal Guernsey was in stunning condition for the competition yesterday and the weather was perfect too.

In the white tee Valentine Trophy Noah Davy was back to winning ways scoring 37 points which included eight pars and an excellent front nine of 42. Noah had a superb 2021 in both junior and men’s competition and it was great to see him back in form. Hopefully this will be the springboard to more success this season. Runner up was the ever consistent Thomas Chamberlain with 36 points. He made six pars and a brilliant birdie at the 13th.

In the red tee St David’s Cup the scoring was excellent and with the course running fast it made some of the longer holes more accessible than usual. Josh Neville was at his best again with another performance of the highest quality. He shot 86 gross for 43 points which included 8 pars. It was his fifth win of the season in the Ray Lowe Sporting Foundation order of merit. Runner up was Lewis O’Brien with 41 points. It was a sparkling round of golf which on another day would have been good enough for the win. His 88 gross featured 6 pars including 3 in a row on the back nine.

In the blue tee competition we welcomed four new players: Elliot Brehaut, Cory Semple, Lewis Brehaut and Mason Brehaut. Luke Adcock took the spoils again with another impressive display scoring 24 points and another handicap reduction is on they way. Runner up was Lewis Brehaut with 23 points edging out Cory Semple on countback.

Next up we are back at L’ancresse on July 12th for the Goodridge and Longue Rue Cups.
