Chloe Domaille clinches Junior Girls title at fourth extra hole

The Saffery Champness Girls Championship proved to be a thriller. Played in difficult conditions at Lancresse Links, Chloe Gaudion made a fast start going three up after the first three holes. Chloe Domaille remained calm and set about reducing the arrears. Holes were traded and at the turn Chloe Gaudion was two up. The lead remained until 16th when a par by Chloe Domaille tied up the match. Both players had opportunities on the final two holes to go ahead but two pars on 18 took the match to extra holes. The first three extra holes couldn’t split the girls. The tee shot on the fourth hole proved decisive. Chloe Domaille hit a great drive down the middle, however Chloe Gaudion found the gorse and the resulting drop proved the difference.

Congratulations to both girls for a fantastic match that is a credit to junior golf.
