The rescheduled May Day Competition took place on a lovely day on the West Coast.
In the white tee competition Tanner Austin topped the leaderboard with 40 points narrowly edging out Ollie Parsons on countback. Tanner was one under gross on the back nine until a bogey on the 17th halted his charge but he came back strongly with a par on the last.
The red tee competition featured an extraordinary round for Jack Migasiuk. On another day runner up Thomas Chamberlain’s 37 points would have been good enough for for the win but incredibly Jack scored 51 points and an eight shot handicap reduction in the process.
In the blue tee competition Anton Swale ran out the winner with a brilliant 25 points and another consistent display from Lewis O’Brien gave him the runner up spot.
Next up we are back at La Grande Mare on Monday 24th August for another Junior Comp - Entries Open now.
